Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! This is a place I'll use to ramble on a little about myself, so hopefully it's helpful to anyone who's interested :)Updates are to be made regularly!
About Me
Who Am I?- Hey there! You're probably already aware that I'm OmbraTheFurry, and I'm the author of this website. OmbraTheFurry is my full username, but I tend to go by Ombra when I'm being adressed by name!
- I use she/her pronouns as a cisgender woman :)
- I am an adult.
- I consider myself a part of the LGBTQ+ community, namely as an unlabelled queer.
A more descriptive explanation of my identity would be that I'm somewhere on the asexual and aromantic spectrum, seasoned with a bit of a feminine preference!
- I'm a Canadian, as well as a person of color! :)
- Typically, my timezone is EST.
- My birthday is October 2nd!
- All of my pages are a safe space for all identities and demographics!
- Although it should go without saying, I feel the need to express that bigots or predators of any sort are the only exception to this statement. If you knowingly engage with abusive affairs of any sort, please do not interact with me or my work.
What do I Like To Do?- I'm an artist, animator, storywriter, content creator and worldbuilder! My corner of the internet is dedicated to sharing my work with the rest of the world :)
- Most of my content consists of visual arts, animation, and occasional tidbits of writing! If any of these mediums interest you, you're in luck!
- I really enjoy designing and developing original characters (OCs) and bringing them to life in any way I can! Of course, where there's OCs, there tends to be original stories too! >:)
- I'm an occasional fanartist, however my OCs tend to take the spotlight in the grand scheme of things.
- I love to use my OCs in my animations, art, stories, writing and collaborative roleplays. They're most typically the subject of all my work, so hopefully you'll get to know them pretty well!

Boundaries
Here is some important information people should be aware of before interacting with me. Thank you for taking the time to review these.1) Basic dni criteria
Overall, anyone who actively discriminates against an innocent community or demographic of people, as well as anyone who knowingly engages with abusive or exploitative affairs that harm real people should not be interacting with me.
If you need more information on what this may entail, please search up 'basic dni criteria' on your own terms.2) While this should go without saying, please be mindful of parasocial behavior and do your best to avoid it.
I have had poor experiences regarding parasocial behavior, such as people falsely claiming they were in contact with me, modelling their identity off of mine, using my OCs, writing or creative work as their own, needlessly harassing others simply because they do not enjoy my work, and many more uncomfortable situations.
Please be mindful of the way in which you engage with me and my work. It is important to note that I am just a regular human being behind the screen, not some celebrity or authority figure.
I am a normal person, so I would like to be treated as one.3) Please do not create AI chatbots of my characters!
I do not consent myself or my work to be associated with any sort of generative AI.4) Please always give proper credit if you use my assets in any way!
'Assets,' referring to that of my objective content (art or animations,) not my intellectual properties or creative work (characters, stories and concepts.
If my assets are something you wish to use for your own work, please don't hesitate to do so as long as you are crediting me!
Everyone is welcome to consume, reference and manipulate my objective content however they please, so long as credit is given.
Using my art as banners or profile pictures fall under this too!5) Reposting my work to other sites is okay as long as proper credit is given!
To give credit, please simply state which assets of mine were used, and ensure you convey that they were originally created by me directly!
For example, “art by OmbraTheFurry on [whatever site you decide to redirect the user to,]” where you would normally add credit in your post (such as a description or caption.)6) Please refrain from making any NSFW or fetish artwork of my OCs.
Suggestive but not outright NSFW is conditional - please ask, and only proceed if you have obtained explicit permission.
Gore is alright by me, (as I am a gore artist myself,) as long as it isn't sexualized or fetishized in any way.7) Please ask if you wish to selfship with my OCs!
As long as the relationship is between consenting adult characters who are canonically interested in romance, I'm likely to say yes!! In fact, I'm likely to be thrilled!! Just ask first, that's all!8) Please do not fandomize my preexisting characters/use them as though they are your own.
This includes; using them in roleplays, inserting them into your own stories without permission, creating roleplay accounts/pretending to be them, kinning or otherwise unsolicited usage.
I am a small online creator who makes content for fun. My work is meant to be used as a source to understand my OCs' stories and character, not to use for your own purposes. My characters are an extremely personal piece of my creative identity. While I am honored you may connect with my work so deeply, I feel unseen and taken advantage of when I see such personal pieces of work being handled or represented by strangers.
In addition to the above,
I am okay with public displays of strong connection to or identifying with my OCs! If you wish to create a themed profile regarding any of my OCs, go right ahead! Just remember to credit me!
However,
I draw the line at identifying as my OCs. I am comfortable with people using my characters to express their own identities - to me, this is identifying with my OCs. The word 'with' implies cooperation, a multi-party effort!
On the other hand, I am not comfortable with public displays of people claiming they are my OCs, or modelling their identities picture-perfect to my OCs identities. To me, this is identifying as my OCs. The word 'as' implies equivalence, that you are the same thing, which is not something I am very comfortable with being publicly displayed.
My characters are an extremely personal piece of my work, as well as my creative identity. While I am honored you may connect with my work so deeply, I feel unseen and disconnected from my work when I see such personal emotional artifacts being represented by strangers.
I acknowledge that identifying as my characters may not be something that can be helped. I cannot and will not attempt to suppress the experience of those who may feel this way, however I would like to request that you do not publicly display yourself exclusively as one of my OCs.
I would like to emphasize that I do not feel any distaste for these types of experiences whatsoever - I would not like for my OCs to be represented by a stranger, that's all. I will respect your experience if you respect mine.8.5) All this considered, I am much more lax if you wish to make a fan-oc for one of my worldbuilding projects!
It depends on which worldbuilding project you wish to make a fan oc for. Unless I have explicitly stated that EVERYONE can make an oc using an open creation of mine, please reach out to ask permission!! I'm very, VERY likely to say yes, and I'll probably even help you with it :)9) Fanworks will always be openly welcomed and highly appreciated!!!
Fanart and fanfiction both fall under this category!!
The previous sections, specifically discussing my boundaries involving fandomizing my work and others using my characters may invoke confusion around fanwork.
Any form of creative work made as a tribute to the original material counts as fanwork, and I am ecstatic to see it!
Fanwork does not erase my connection to my work, as it is a tribute to the source material rather than a separate replica. Even better, fanwork allows for others to explore my creative content on an exceptionally personal level, which I am always euphoric to witness and be a part of! :)
I'm always happy to share my work with other artists, as long as you are crediting me and recognizing me as the original author!
I love to see what people do with my content and creations with regards to fanwork/fanart!! If you create any sort of fanwork, please show me ASAP!!!
If you are making any fanfiction, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO TELL ME AHEAD OF TIME! I'd be THRILLED to give you any pointers or answer any questions about my OCs so you can write them better, don't be shy!!
10) If you are interested in making an Alternate Universe (AU) of my stories or characters, please ask me prior to starting development.
I am more likely to be comfortable with AU's that properly expand on what they are based off of. The more original and divergent the AU is from the source material, the better.
AU's where characters, stories or concepts are reused and reinserted into different scenarios are not the type I tend to be comfortable with. It's not a very productive or transformative way to use my characters, which is not fair to me and also not fair to you.
If I decline your prompt, please don't share the AU publicly. I cannot and will not stop anyone from privately creating AUs, that would be extremely possessive and unfair of me, but I would prefer for these AUs to stay private.11) Please don’t make heavily inspired or heavily referenced character designs or stories based off of mine.
While I am completely okay with (and honored by) inspired characters, writings and creative projects based off my own, it makes me uncomfortable to see content that is evidently excessively referenced to mine.
It makes me feel taken advantage of when I see my work being replicated with little-to-no originality. These are projects I worked really hard on, and to see someone else just take the final product without any regard for the work is really disheartening.
I want my audience to engage with my work creatively, productively and transformatively so everyone has the chance to learn and grow from each other! This cannot happen if everyone just copies me.
It is not fair to me, and it is also not fair to you. By copying my work, you are depriving yourself of exercising your creative muscles and preventing yourself from improving as an artist.
If you are not sure if your inspired character is too similar to mine, please don't hesitate to ask! I will not be offended or upset - in fact, I will feel overjoyed that I have inspired you, and you will have earned my respect for taking initiative and reaching out to me about it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the weird and wild! This is my largest, oldest worldbuilding project; an amalgamation of fantasy, sci-fi, speculative biology and so much more. Humans? Anthros? Shapeshifters? Demigods? You name it, we've got it all and everything in between! Most of my stories take place here, so there's no single main character; instead, it's populated by numerous separate storylines!
Ever wondered what lies beneath our subconscious? Dive into this paranormal-mystery story and investigate death of Atlas Wells, a hobbyist dream journal keeper who inexplicably passed away in his sleep. Discover how faces born from dreams resurface and what they could possibly want. Are these beings related to Atlas's death? Question after question, you could answer if you thought outside the box. . .
In a world where your likeness is stolen and transformed at the blink of an eye, it's difficult not to lose sight of what makes you you. Step into a post-apocalyptic world is crawling with vicious mimics, following the survival of Baxter Admungata as he struggles with his sense of self. No use in scraping by if you don't remember what you're fighting for, right Baxter?
A whimsical, fairy-tale story about a lonely young witch, Paige Florafeller, and her scarecrow friend, Patches. Fall into this folklore-style fantasy world and join them on their journey of discovery; They'll learn about the practice of witchcraft and magic history, befriend spirits, explore the woods, and plenty more! There's lots to learn in the eyes of a little kid, after all.
A self indulgent universe meant to be delivered in a videogame setting. Meet Draftsman, an incomplete mathematical being, and aid them in their escapades to become whole and complete. Explore a colorful cast of numbers, properties and theorems of all shapes and sizes, picking up puzzle-solving and platforming skills along the way to progress through this punctuated reality.
Some smaller, supplementary universes, or miniverses as I like to call them! These are smaller worldbuilding projects I won't dedicate as extensive/intricate effort into, but they're here for the ride nonetheless :)
